मज्जेण णरो अवसो, कुणेइ कम्माणि णिंद-णिज्जाइं। इहलोए-परलोए, अणुहवइ अणंतयं दुक्खं।।६।।SSu
मद्यपान जो जन करे, करता खोटे काम।
लोक और परलोक में, अनन्त दुखों का धाम॥२.२३.६.३०६॥
मदिरापान से मदहोश होकर मनुष्य निन्दनीय कर्म करता है और फलस्वरूप इस लोक तथा परलोक मे अनन्त दुखो का अनुभव करता है।
A person loses control over himself by drinking intoxicating liquors and commits many censurable deeds. He experiences endless miseries both in this world and in the next. (306)
