व्यवहार चारित्र Right Conduct from Practical Point of View
असुहादो विणिवित्ती, सुहे पवित्ती य जाण चारित्तं।
वद-समिदि-गुत्ति-रूवं, ववहारणया दुजिणभणियं।।२।।SSu
छोड़ अशुभ, शुभ में गमन, चरित्र हो व्यवहार।
व्रत, समिति, गुप्ति रूप हो, ये जिनदेव विचार॥२.२०.२.२६३॥
अशुभ को छोड़ना व शुभ को अपनाना ही व्यवहारचारित्र है। जो पाँच व्रत, पाँच समिति व तीन गुप्ति के रुप मे जिनदेव द्वारा बताई गई है।
Know that Right Conduct consists in desisting from inauspicious activity and engaging in auspicious activity. Jina has ordained that conduct from the practical point of view consists in the observance of 5 vows, 5 acts of carefulness (Samiti) and control of 3 gupti. (263)
