समझ स्वरूप पदार्थ का, सच्ची श्रद्धा मान।
सम्यग्दर्शन कहे उसे, जिनवर का यह ज्ञान॥१.२॥

 

पदार्थ के स्वरूप का सही श्रद्धान ही सम्यग्दर्शन है।

 

Right faith is belief in substances as they are.

 

 

श्रद्धानं परमार्थानामाप्तगमतपोभूतां।
त्रिमूढापोढमष्टांगं सम्यग्दर्शनमस्मयं॥४॥RKS

 

सम्यग्दर्शन श्रद्धान है, गुरु शास्त्र और देव।
मूढ़ता और मद नहीं, अष्ट अंग को ठेव॥४॥

 

तीन मूढताओं से रहित, आठ अंगो सहित और आठ मदों से रहित सच्चे देव, शास्त्र एवं गुरु के श्रद्धान को सम्यग्दर्शन कहा है।

 

Without three kinds of wrong knowledge, with eight types of right faith and without eight kinds of pride having faith in true god, true scriptures and true teacher is called right faith.
