असदभिधानमनृतम्॥१४॥TS
होता क्या असत्य बोलना, तू ले अब यह जान।
योग और प्रमाद से, करता झूठ बखान॥ ७.१४.२५०॥
प्रमाद द्वार मन वचन व काया से असत्य बोलना झूठ है।
Speaking lie with carelessness of thoughts, words and actions is called falsehood.
थूल-मुसावायस्स उ विरई, दुच्चं स पंचहा होइ।
क्न्न्-गो-भु-आलिय-नासहरण, कूडसक्खिज्जे।।११।।SSu
दूजा व्रत असत्य विरति, पंचम इसकी राह।
कन्या, गौ, भू झूठ नहीं, क़ब्ज़ा, असत गवाह॥२.२३.११.३११॥
असत्य से विरक्ति दूसरा अणुव्रत है। इसके भी पाँच भेद है। कन्या, पशु तथा भूमि के लिये झूठ बोलना, किसी की धरोहर को दबा लेना और झूठी गवाही देना। इनका त्याग स्थूल असत्य विरति है।
Refraining from major type of falsehood is the second vow; this major type of falsehood is of five kinds; speaking untruth about unmarried girls, animals and land, repudiating debts or pledges and giving false evidence. (311)
स्थूलमलीकं न वदति न परान् वादयति सत्यमपि विपदे ।
यत्तद्वदन्ति सन्त:, स्थूलमृषावादवैरमणम्॥५५॥
स्थूल झूठ बोले नहीं, मन वचन और काय।
न बोले न अनुमोदना, सत्याणुव्रत कहलाय॥३.९.५५॥RKS
जो स्थूल झूठ न स्वयं बोलता है न बुलवाता है, जो दूसरों की विपत्ति के लिए न असत्य बोलता हैं न बुलवाता हैं ऐसी क्रिया के त्याग को संत सत्याणुव्रत कहते हैं।
Vow of truthfulness is refraining from lies, not causing others to tell lies, avoiding truth which causes afflictions to others.
