गुणस्थान Stages Towards Perfect Knowledge

 

  1. मिथ्यादृष्टि Wrong belief

  2. सासादनसम्यग्दृष्टि Lingering right belief

  3. सम्यग्मिथ्यादृष्टि Mixed belief

  4. असंयतसम्यग्दृष्टि Devoid of right conduct but right belief

  5. संयतासंयत Partially restrained

  6. प्रमत्तसंयत an ascetic with restraint but negligence

  7. अप्रमत्तसंयत Complete self restraint

  8. अपूर्वकरण उपशमक तथा क्षपक Destroyer of karma

  9. अनिवृत्तिकरण Anivrattini

  10. सूक्ष्म–कषाय Sukshma samparay

  11. उपशांतकषाय whose passions subsided

  12. क्षीणकषाय Passions are destroyed

  13. सयोगकेवली An omniscient with activity of mind speech and body

  14. अयोगकेवली An inactive omniscient

 

 

मिच्छो सासण मिस्सो, अविरद-सम्मो य देस-विरदो य।
विरदो पमत्त इयरो, अपुव्व अणियट्टि सुहुमो य।।२।।SSu

उवसंत-खीण-मोहो, सजोति केवलि-जिणो अजोगी य।
चोद्दस गुणट्ठाणाणि य, कमेण सिद्धा य णायव्वा।।३।।SSu

 

मिथ्,सासादन मिश्र है, अविरत-सम्यक् देशान।
प्रमत्त, अप्रमत्त, अपूर्व भी, अनिवृत्ति, सूक्ष्म गुणान ॥२.३२.२.५४७॥

 

,क्षीणमोह उपशांत भी, सयोगि, अयोगि ज्ञान।
क्रम ये चौदह मात्र ही, सिद्ध नही गुण जान॥२.३२.३.५४८॥

 

गुणस्थान चौदह है। मिथ्यात्व, सासादन, मिश्र, अविरत–सम्यक्दृष्टि, देशविरत, प्रमत्तविरत, अप्रमत्तविरत, अपूर्वकरण, अनिवृत्तिकरण,  सूक्ष्म–साम्पराय,उपशान्तमोह, क्षीणमोह, सयोगिकेवलिजिनभी, अयोगिकेवलिजिन। सिद्ध गुण स्थान से परे है।

 

There are fourteen stages in the path of gradual spiritual development; (1) false belief, (2) failing from right faith, (3) 
mixture of right faith and wrong faith, (4) vowless right faith, (5) partial observance of vows, (6) non-vigilant observance 
of vows, (7) vigilant observance of vows, (8) unique condition of bliss, which has not been experienced before, (9) constant 
thought-activity (that is meditation), (10) slightest attachment, (11) subsided delusion, (12) destroyed delusion, (13) 
omniscient with activities, and (14) Omniscient without activity. It should be understood that emancipation is attained in 
stages. (547 & 548)
